I learned this while working as a Teachers Assistant at an elementary school in San Rafael. Maybe it's a Marin county originating song?

I had heard my cousin sing this at a birthday party some years ago. My daughter’s 3rd birthday is in a few days, so I think it’ll be great to pick my guitar and play this on her birthday. I’ve also planned a wonderful party for her and I booked a spacious hall for the party at one of the event venue in town.
We call this the Bolinas birthday song. My parents lived there for 30 years. We have a large family and sing it almost exclusively for birthdays. I met the musician in Bolinas who I'm told wrote it, but I sadly don't recall his name.
